Intro to Cave
The Course
The Intro to Cave course builds logically on your Cavern Diver course, applying the skills you learned in cavern diving to the cave environment and adding new skills such as lost diver and lost line.
This course is taught in the premiere cave diving destination of Tulum, Mexico by our partner Cave Diving Tulum.
Requirements
- 18 years old (or 15 years with approval of guardian)
- 50 logged dives
- Intro to Tec certification or equivalent (in the equipment configuration to be used)
- Cavern Diver certification
The Learning
The Intro to Cave course includes dive theory, confined water skills practice, cavern dives, and practice scenarios.
The Cavern Diver course can be combined with the Intro to Cave course.
Pricing
$250 per day, minimum 3 days.
Course tuition includes:

The Gear
This course must be taken in backmounted doubles or sidemount configuration. A suitable primary light is required. For exposure protection a 5-7mm wetsuit or drysuit is recommended.
