Raja Ampat covers a total area of around 50,000 sq km, and encompassing hundreds of islands, it offers an astounding diversity of habitats, which translates to wildly different diving experiences.
In many places, brightly coloured soft corals can be found close to the surface, which, with perfect visibility and bright sunlight, create stunningly beautiful dive sites and spectacular photo opportunities. You even get to dive in some habitats that are endemic to Raja Ampat, the most representative of which is the clear water mangroves with corals growing right next to them.
You may encounter anything from pygmy seahorses to top predators; Wobbegong sharks and epaulette sharks are just two of the more unusual creatures that can be found in the waters that make up Raja Ampat.
